DigitalM – Donation

DigitalM – Donation is a free plugin for WooCommerce stores that support a cause. It records how much the store gives from every order. It also lets customers add their own donation at checkout.

Installation

  1. WooCommerce must be active.
  2. In the admin area, open Plugins → Add New.
  3. Search for „DigitalM – Donation“, press Install, then Activate.
  4. A „Donation“ item appears in the left menu.

Contribution from each order

  • Choose a percent of the product value or a fixed amount per unit.
  • Each product can have its own rule or no contribution. Open the product and look at the General tab.
  • The customer pays the same price.
  • Optionally, the customer sees how much the store gives: in the cart, at checkout, after the order and in the emails.
  • The rules are saved on the order. Later changes to the settings do not rewrite the past.

Donation at checkout

  • The customer picks an amount or a percent of the products.
  • There are suggested values and a field for their own value.
  • The donation is added to the total as a separate line.
  • It works on both the classic and the block checkout page.
  • You can set the cause name, the title, the text, the position and the colour of the field.

Reports

  • Two reports: order contributions and checkout donations.
  • Pick a period: this month, last month, last 30 days, this year, last year, all time or your own dates.
  • You see the number of orders, the products value, what was recorded, what was deducted and what remains for the period.
  • Each order is on its own line with a link to it.
  • Download the report as a table for Excel.

Refunds and cancellations

  • Only orders in the statuses you choose are counted. By default this is Completed.
  • When an order is refunded, cancelled or deleted, its amounts are deducted on the day it happens.
  • A refund of an amount without products is spread over the products by their value.

Language

Use the BG/EN switch in the top right corner of the plugin. In the store, the plugin follows the language of the site.
